The Type WPV is a single-stage, self-priming side channel pump in a vertical position with opposing suction and discharge ports.
In addition to the self-priming ability side channel pumps have the advantage due to their high pressure factor to work more economically when pumping small flow rates against relatively high pressure level than normal centrifugal pumps.
The atmosphere is sealed by chambered O-rings. The pump shaft is mounted in a rolling bearing.
The additional motor is directly mounted, an additional mechanical coupling is eliminated.
