The type HZSMA is a single or multistage centrifugal pump with magnetic coupling and side channel stage.

This system is based on the side channel principle and therefore enables self-priming capability. The arrangement of the guide devices minimizes radial thrusts. The pump is equipped with a permanent magnet coupling, and the containment shell hermetically seals the conveying medium to the outside. Heat generated by eddy current losses is dissipated through an internal circulation flow. The pump shaft is supported by SiC sleeve bearings, while the drive shaft is placed in permantently lubricated ball bearings. Wear rings are standard on the suction and pressure sides. Axial thrust compensation is achieved through double sided balance disk, whose release spaces are pressurized both by the pressure side of the pump and by the pressure of the first stage.
